Abstract was established in 2000 and is one of the country’s most respected developers. They specialise in commercial property development, investment and venture capital financing.
The management team at Abstract brings together combined experience of over 7 million sq ft of business space development across the UK and Europe. The team is highly experienced at working directly with major property owners and corporate end users, handling all aspects of their property requirements.
Archie is a qualifid Chartered Surveyor with over 30 years’ experience in agency and commercial development and has held senior positions in private practice in both Scotland and the City of London.
Keppie are a future led design firm of 120 architects, master planners, interior and urban designers. Founded in 1854, they now work across 3 continents designing innovative and sustainable solutions.
As a practice founded in 1854, and with internationally prominent figures such as Charles Rennie Mackintosh among its principals, Keppie’s designers are constantly aware of the legacy they leave to the communities of people for which they design. This is more than architectural style or iconicism, as it instils enduring qualities into buildings which make them enjoyable and useful both for their present inhabitants and for future generations. Keppie Design was appointed in September 2014 to progress the concept design for the masterplan, the new AECC and a 200 bed hotel. The new exhibition and conference facilities consist of a 9000sqm arena to accommodate a maximum of 12,500 people, 6000sqm of flexible exhibition space and a further 31,000sqm of multi-purpose subterranean space. A further 10,000sqm of external exhibition space can also be utilised.
