This month we are delighted to welcome Alan Mahon, Founder, Brewgooder, Stuart Hood, Owner, Hoods Honey and Colin Hinds, Owner & Head Chef of The Kilted Lobster

Alan’s company, Brewgooder set out on a simple mission in 2016, to provide clean water for 1,000,000 people through the power of craft beer by donating 100% of their profits to clean water charities. With the help of the guys at Brew Dog (who brew the beer at zero margin), Brewgooder was founded and on World Water Day 2016 they asked craft beer drinkers across the world to help with their mission.

Almost 1,000 backers and over 30 bars, restaurants and bottleshops helped them raise enough money to begin brewing the first cans of Clean Water Lager. Since then, Brewgooder have helped to fund over 60 projects for over 33,000 people in Malawi. Drink Beer Give Water.

Stuart from Hoods Honey runs a family run business in East Lothian; they have around 13 million bees that produce 3 different types of honey. At Hoods Honey, they tend to have their bees for more than 60 years, caring for them in the old-fashioned way they produce three very distinctive types of Honey – Blossom, Wildflower and Heather. They carefully select sites where their bees will thrive, and have even been given the honour of placing them in the grounds of the Scottish Parliament!
