This month we are welcoming Professor Dan Wright MBE, CTO and Founder, Heliex Power and Enrique Troncoso, BEng, MSc, PhD, Director & Founder of Systeng Consulting.
Dan will give a talk about his technology which is a unique way of harnessing steam or waste heat using their patented expander/compressor system. This technology can generate electricity from your steam, power an air compressor, drive equipment, or re-energise your steam, using HP methods which works where other efficiency saving technologies can’t.

Enrique will deliver a short presentation about one of their flagship projects in Scotland, the BIG HIT hydrogen project under deployment in Orkney Islands. This is an 11m initiative that he is coordinating, co-funded by the European Commission and the Scottish Government.
The project is deploying (ongoing) an integrated local energy system in Orkney based on local renewables and hydrogen energy supply, for local heat, power and transport end-uses. This project is gathering a lot of interest in Scotland and Europe as a pioneer project. It was included as a case study/example in the New Energy Strategy published by the Scottish Gvmt earlier this year.
