This month we are welcoming James Johnson-Ferguson, owner of Springkell Mansion House & Hotel who will be sharing his journey in business with us.

Springkell is a beautiful Palladian Mansion which dates back to 1734, near Gretna Green in Dumfries. James has had the enviable but arduous task of making it work as a business and this involves running the property as a hotel, wedding and events venue with accommodation both in the hotel and some surrounding cottages on the estate. He is pleased to share some of the complexities of retaining Springkell’s beautiful features whilst making it work economically and socially in todays world.
