This month we are welcoming George Lowder, Chief Executive of Transport for Edinburgh and Neal Hemingway of 360 Architecture who will be talking about the Leith Distillery project.
In 2013, Lothian Buses and Edinburgh Trams joined forces under the umbrella of Transport for Edinburgh Ltd. Their vision is to provide world-class, integrated, environmentally-friendly and socially-inclusive transport which plays a central role in the future prosperity of Edinburgh and the Lothians. George’s role as Chief Executive is to deliver on this and he will be speaking about the challenges he faces and and solutions to overcome them.

Neal will be delivering a presentation on the very exciting Leith Distillery project, which 360 Architecture has been tasked with. The design brief is ambitious to say the least. LD aims to eventually produce 400,000lpa (litres pure alcohol) per year as well as welcoming tens of thousands of visitors through the door with a shop and bar. In addition to this, they need a lab space for analysis and experimentation with students from Heriot Watt, offices and facilities for staff and a number of flexible spaces that can be used for exhibitions and public events.
