This month we are welcoming: Daniel Campbell, Founder of Red Box Coffee Roasters ;Kieran Middleton, Business Development Manager and Brewer, Bellfield Brewery & Tom Lewis, Head Chef, Monachyle Mhor Hotel

Daniel has been shortlisted for the BQ Emerging Entrepreneurs Awards. His love for coffee comes from its power to connect people all over the world with a shared interest and goal. For this reason he named the company after the iconic red telephone box as it is a symbol of communication from an earlier time.

Red Box only choose coffee that is traceable which means they know where it comes from and can be confident that the farmers receive a fair price. They want to change ‘The Middle Man’ scenario. Daniel is in direct contact with the farmers and feels that this should have a greater impact in improving the standards of living of the farmer.

Bellfield Brewery is a new family-run brewery with a mission: to craft gluten-free beer that tastes great. Launched in March 2016, they have already enjoyed a number of big contract wins as the free-from food and drink sector continues to expand with Mintel predicting the market to grow to £673m by 2020.

Bellfield was founded in Scotland by two coeliacs, they are investing a great deal of time, money and energy in to research and development so that they can produce gluten-free craft beers that everyone can enjoy.

The brewery are now trying to raise additional capital through a mix of equity, grants and loans – to fund its expansion. Based in Edinburgh, Bellfield will create a number of new jobs, allowing the existing operational team to commit on a full-time basis and strengthening the sales and management teams.
